Profile of Dr. Rafique Daudi

Dr. Rafique Daudi, is a Chartered Marketer (CIM-UK), Professional Marketer ProM (CIMG) and an experienced and competent Insurance Distribution and Marketing Senior Executive, with over 18 years’ experience in both Public and Private sector areas including Tourism, Pensions, Health Insurance, and Life Insurance; and spending the last 15 years in the Life Insurance Industry, where he currently serves in Executive Management, with the Metropolitan Entities in Ghana (Life, Health, Pensions).

Rafique has participated in several local and international conferences and seminars, which have enabled his Strategic Leadership and Analytical approaches to issues, synthesized with his effective Communication and Inter-personal skills, and a balanced approach to working with people.

He leads the Formulation and Execution of his Company’s Distribution and Marketing Strategies, with a record of remarkable successes including restructuring the Retail Channel to be more productive, while enhancing the overall Distribution efficiency and effectiveness, leading to the Company’s Year-On-Year growth, in the last four years, resulting in Market Share increase from 3.9% in 2018 to 5.0% in 2021, thus, making the company one of the fastest-growing Life Insurers in Ghana.

Through other strategic and values-driven initiatives that Rafique was personally involved in or led; his Company won various prestigious awards including the Outstanding Corporate Governance Award in 2019 (PENSIONS), Outstanding Brand in 2019 (LIFE), Outstanding Health Company in 2019 (HEALTH), Ghana Club 100 Listing in 2019 – No.19 (HEALTH), Best Corporate Trustee in Customer Service in 2020 (PENSIONS), and Most Corporate Governance Compliant Company in 2021 (LIFE).

Dr. Daudi holds a Doctorate in Management and Organizational Leadership, Master of Business Administration, Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, Professional Diploma in Insurance, Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, and HND in Marketing.

He is also involved in Part-Time Lecturing at the Laweh Open University, since 2016, where he has committed to help in nurturing several future leaders who are currently involved in post-graduate level studies, through direct and indirect mentoring.
